We measure your dog against your dog, not against a breed average.

Human wearable algorithms do not transfer to dogs, so PulseHound builds a rolling baseline for each animal and flags departures from it. The result is a number your vet can read and use in an exam room.

Our story

Why we built it

Owners of older dogs already pay for vet checks and premium food, but the data between visits is thin. Consumer trackers borrow human algorithms and report breed averages that say little about one animal. PulseHound started from the species-specific side: build the baseline per dog and per breed, then alert on departures from it. The collar is in engineering validation now, and we publish the evidence as it comes.

Why PulseHound

  1. 01

    Resting heart rate

Optical PPG tracks resting rate against your dog's own rolling baseline, not a breed table.

  2. 02

    Sleep and activity

A 3-axis accelerometer reads activity and sleep posture, flagging disruption and sudden changes.

  3. 03

    Threshold alerts

Bluetooth at home, optional cellular elsewhere. You are alerted when readings leave the baseline.

  4. 04

    Vet-share reports

Export a summary your vet can read clinically, instead of a raw graph on a phone screen.

Who it is for

01

Dogs aged seven and over

Where resting heart rate and sleep are worth watching between checkups.

02

Known heart conditions

Owners who want a record of resting rate to bring to a cardiology visit.

03

Anxiety conditions

Households tracking sleep disruption and activity shifts over weeks, not minutes.

How the first drop works

  1. Join the waitlist

Leave an email. No payment, no card, no commitment.

  2. We confirm EVT results

Before taking orders we publish engineering validation evidence: sensor accuracy against reference, battery life under both radio modes, and fit across the neck range.

  3. Order when specs are confirmed

Waitlist members are invited first, with final specs and refund terms stated in full before any charge.

Questions

Waitlist members hear about every change first.

Can I buy one today?

No. This is a pre-order waitlist. We are not taking payment until engineering validation is complete and final specs are published.

What are the refund terms?

Terms are not final and will be stated in full on the order page before any charge is taken. We will not open orders without them in writing.

Does it use GPS?

No. The collar reports heart rate, sleep and activity, not location.

How long does the battery last?

Target is 7 days per charge over Bluetooth, 5 days with cellular alerting enabled. These are targets until validation testing confirms them.

Is the subscription required?

No. The $6 per month plan is optional and covers cellular alerts, cloud history and vet-share reports. Bluetooth use works without it.

Is this a medical device?

No. It is a monitoring collar that reports trends to you and your vet. It does not diagnose or treat any condition.
